Computational imaging applications with Extended Depth of Field (EDoF), High Dynamic Range (HDR) and multichannel imaging, with their associated signaling sequences, are quickly implemented with the multiple award winning graphical FPGA development environment, VisualApplets. In addition to functioning on frame grabbers, FPGA- and SoC-based embedded devices, VisualApplets can also be used within cameras, sensors and scanner devices.
Image acquisition boards, programmable frame grabbers and third-party FPGA devices synchronize the entire image processing system via signal data and calculate the resulting images. The signals are used to control peripheral devices such as the CCS Light Sequence Switch for lighting control, industrial sensors (e.g. rotary encoders) and actuators (for cameras, illumination, blow-out nozzles, lens controllers) that are timed with image data.
